Foracer Coanda Simsport ready for 2015 World Championship season
Coanda Simsport will start it’s first complete iRacing World Championship season on 28th February at the famous Interlagos track. The team got off to a very successful start in August last year, as Martin Krönke was able to win 3 out of the 4 last races of the season, which saw him finishing the season in second place, only 10 points shy of the winner. The remainder of the season also saw very good performances by André Böttcher and Martti Pietilä.
During the off season the team has not just been resting on it’s laurels, but instead has participated in high profile series like NEO Endurance and Masters of Endurance. The team was also winner of one time events like the RaceSpot 24h of Spa, which was the first ever endurance race on iRacing and also the 24h of Daytona, which was the first official FIRST sanctioned 24h race on iRacing. Also our first addition after the team founders, Justin Lindsay, fought his way to the World Championship series through the iRacing Pro series.
For 2015 the team has even further improved it’s lineup. The series sees the return of the 2011 World Champion, Hugo Luis, who had to temporarily stop racing at the highest level midway through the 2014 season. Other additions include Rocco Barone and Mitchell deJong, who both joined the team after the end of the season. Either one of them is not a stranger to success, with Mitchell winning the Pro series and Rocco having participated in World Championship races in both 2013 and 2014.
For the 2015 season, the team will be supported by Foracer, a Finnish motion simulator manufacturer, Andwerndesign and Racespot.
With the lineup of Martin Krönke, Hugo Luis, André Böttcher, Martti Pietilä, Rocco Barone, Mitchell deJong and Justin Lindsay, the team will be making sure the rest of the competition will be seeing purple. In order to make the work of commentators and most importantly the spectators easier, the team will be sporting two different liveries. The competition this year will be very hard, but Foracer Coanda Simport is looking ahead to fill the top end of the grid with these drivers!
